Creating a calm, centered, and connected community.

Hello and welcome, families and students!
This will be my fifth year as a school counselor at Aspen Middle School. I am excited and grateful to work with students and families and be part of the ASD community!
I am from a small town in Southern Vermont, and when I am not at school, I enjoy snowboarding, playing tennis, pickleball, hiking, and going for walks with my dog B. In addition to working with students, playing sports is another one of my passions. I had the privilege of playing soccer on the Vermont Olympic Development Team, and I played tennis at Springfield College during my four undergraduate years. I lived in central Massachusetts and taught there as a 6th-grade Special Educator; however, it was that “Colorado Calling” and the opportunity to follow my dream of becoming a school counselor that brought me to this area, and I am so happy to be here!
As a school counselor, I seek to foster an environment for our students that is safe, welcoming, and a place where they can be their true selves. I recognize and appreciate students’ strengths, values, interests, and abilities, and that every student is unique, which is such an incredible thing! Students are at the center of their learning and experiences, and it is essential to meet students where they are.
As a counseling team, we are here to help students with scheduling, conflict-resolution skills, coping strategies, learning techniques, executive functioning, and getting involved in extracurricular and club activities- anything that helps them access learning and feel safe, supported, and happy at school.
I look forward to working with the families, students, and staff and to the wonderful year ahead!
